A perennial creeping herb with lace-like leaves divided into feathery leaflets and a composite lead of numerous tiny, daisy-like flowers. The essential oil is obtained via steam distillation of the leaves and flowering tops.
- Circulatory system : beneficial for varicose veins and haemorrhoids.
- Digestive system : can be used to alleviate stomach cramps and gallbladder pain.
- Integumentary system : highly valued for its management of wounds due to its antiseptic, astringent, styptic and anti inflammatory properties. Can be used to soothe irritated skin, help heal infections and also for eczema and allergic skin reactions.
- Reproductive system : recommended to help alleviate menstrual pain and also as a balancing remedy during menopause.
How to use:
For massage : Mix 3 to 4 drops of essential oils with 3 tablespoonful of carrier oil.
For bath : Drip about 6 to 8 drops of essential oils into bathtub filled with warm water and add 2 tablespoonful of carrier oil.
For vaporisation : Add 6 to 8 drops of essential oils into a tea-light candle burner or electric burner. For tea-light candle burner, do add water.
