A common garden herb that is usually used also as a culinary herb. The essential oil is obtained via steam distillation of the dried or partially dried leaves and flowering tops.
Therapeutic benefits:
- Digestive system : a digestive stimulant and a carminative. Promotes appetite, eases abdominal distension and relieves flatulence.
- Immune system : recommended for all infections as it stimulates the production of white blood corpuscles to strengthen the body's immune system.
- Musculoskeletal system : ease gout, rheumatic pain and arthritis and sporting injuries.
- Nervous system : an intellectual and mental stimulant which is beneficial in eases of nervous depression and mental fatigue.

How to use:
For massage : Mix 3 to 4 drops of essential oils with 3 tablespoonful of carrier oil.
For bath : Drip about 6 to 8 drops of essential oils into bathtub filled with warm water and add 2 tablespoonful of carrier oil.
For vaporisation : Add 6 to 8 drops of essential oils into a tea-light candle burner or electric burner. For tea-light candle burner, do add water.
